New Zealand businesses are used to working with suppliers in other time zones, and many have learned that a written, asynchronous way of working can be faster than waiting for meetings. That is how we run accounts here. A digital marketing agency New Zealand clients use from Pakistan has to make the time difference an advantage: you brief us during your day and wake up to finished work.
We have no New Zealand office or staff. Arb Digital serves NZ clients remotely, and our day begins in your late afternoon.
What a digital marketing agency New Zealand clients hire should understand
Stats NZ estimated the resident population at 5,324,700 at 30 June 2025, a provisional figure. Auckland holds roughly a third of that, with Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton and Tauranga as the other main commercial centres. The economy is built on small and medium firms, trades, tourism, primary industries and a strong export sector.
Because the market is small, national search terms are cheaper than in Australia or the UK, but the pool of searches is smaller too. Precision matters more than volume: the right regional terms and a complete Google Business Profile often outperform broad campaigns.

How the overnight model works
Our working hours, 9am to 6pm in Pakistan, fall between 4pm and 1am in New Zealand, or 5pm and 2am during daylight saving. In practice:
- You send briefs, approvals or questions during your day through email or a shared document.
- We pick them up at the end of your afternoon and work while you sleep.
- Finished pages, campaign changes and written answers are waiting the next morning.
- When a live discussion is needed, we book a short call around 4pm or 5pm your time.
This suits clients who prefer decisions in writing. It does not suit anyone who needs a supplier available for calls throughout the NZ working day, and we say that before you sign anything.
Channels that suit New Zealand businesses
- Trades and home services: local SEO and Google Maps, plus Google Ads limited to the suburbs and towns you cover.
- Tourism and hospitality: search and social aimed at both domestic and Australian visitors, with seasonal planning.
- Exporters and SaaS: SEO aimed at overseas markets, often Australia and the US, from a New Zealand site.
- Online retail: e-commerce SEO and shopping ads, with freight costs factored into which products get budget.
Budgets in New Zealand tend to be modest, so we avoid spreading them thin. A plumber in Christchurch or an accountant in Hamilton usually does better with one well-built Business Profile, a handful of strong service pages and a small search campaign than with a presence on every platform. For exporters the opposite applies: most of the opportunity sits overseas, so the plan starts with which foreign market to win first and builds the site structure around it.
Privacy and email rules in New Zealand
The Privacy Act 2020 sets the information privacy principles for collecting, storing and using personal information, and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner publishes guidance on them, including notifiable privacy breaches. Marketing email and text messages also fall under the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007, which requires consent, accurate sender information and a functional unsubscribe.
We build forms, lists and automations to fit those rules: no purchased lists, clear consent at sign-up and unsubscribes that work. Legal interpretation stays with your adviser.
Searching like a New Zealander
NZ searchers often include the region or town, and they use local spellings and terms. Content written for the US or UK market can read as foreign here. We write in New Zealand English, reference real regional context and keep claims plain, because Kiwi buyers are quick to distrust hype. Sites competing with Australian suppliers need clear signals that they serve New Zealand, including the .nz domain where possible, NZ contact details and local service areas.
Reporting that suits an overnight relationship
When most of the work happens while you sleep, reporting has to carry the conversation that a meeting would normally hold. Every New Zealand account gets a short written update after each working session: what changed, why, and anything we need from you. Once a month a fuller report sets spend and results against the targets agreed at the start, with plain notes on what we will try next.
We keep a shared change log as well, so if enquiries jump or dip you can see exactly which campaign edit, page update or bid change happened that week. For trades and service firms, we connect call tracking and form submissions to the suburbs they came from, which quickly shows whether budget aimed at Hamilton or Tauranga is earning its place.
Clients who prefer to talk things through can book a monthly video call at the end of their afternoon, usually 4pm or 5pm New Zealand time, to go over the report together. Others never book one and run the whole relationship in writing, which works just as well once both sides trust the rhythm. Either way, nothing waits on a meeting: decisions you approve in the evening are acted on that night, and you see the result with your morning coffee.
Getting started from New Zealand
There is no long lock-in: after any minimum period agreed in writing, the arrangement simply rolls on monthly, invoiced and paid by international bank transfer. Free government guidance for small firms is available on business.govt.nz. For Auckland-specific planning see our Auckland guide. The first step is a free audit: send your website through our contact page and we will reply before your next morning.

Who we are
Who you work with
Arb Digital is a brand of Arbsbuy (SMC-Private) Limited, a company incorporated in Pakistan and registered with the SECP (CUIN 0310402).
Our team works from Pakistan, Monday to Friday 9amβ6pm PKT. In New Zealand that is 4pmβ1am NZST (UTC+12), or 5pmβ2am during daylight saving (NZDT, UTC+13, late September to early April). There is very little live overlap with a New Zealand working day, so we run your account in writing: you brief us by email or shared document during your day and wake up to the work and answers. Short calls can be booked at the end of your afternoon by appointment.
