Poland is the largest business population in this wave of our Europe hub, and its online buyers are among the most marketplace-minded in the region. A digital marketing agency Poland companies hire has to plan for two search engines at once: Google for research and services, and Allegro for a large share of product purchases.
This report weighs the numbers, the language question and the platforms before it reaches tactics. It is written for Polish firms growing at home and for foreign brands entering Poland. To be clear about our position: Arb Digital operates from Pakistan and has no Polish premises or employees. We work in English and plan Polish SEO, while customer-facing Polish text should be produced by a Polish native speaker you choose.
Scale first: 2.8 million enterprises and a thin corporate tier
Eurostat counts 2,821,170 enterprises in Poland's business economy for 2024. 2,708,976 (96.0% of all enterprises) are micro-enterprises employing 0-9 persons, and 3,569 enterprises employ 250 or more persons.
Three implications stand out. Volume: almost every niche has many small competitors, so ranking for broad national terms is hard while specific, city-plus-service terms remain winnable. Decision makers: in micro firms the owner approves spend, which rewards plain, numbers-first proposals. B2B concentration: a few thousand large enterprises means account-based content and LinkedIn targeting can cover the whole upper market.

Language: why Polish keyword research cannot be translated
Polish is heavily inflected. One product or service appears in several grammatical forms depending on the phrase, and searchers use the forms that sound natural, often with diacritics but sometimes without. A keyword list translated from English captures a fraction of real demand. We build lists from Polish autocomplete and results, group the variants that share intent, and brief one page per intent instead of one page per spelling.
English search exists in Poland but is concentrated: IT and shared-services hiring, international B2B, and expatriate audiences in Warsaw, KrakΓ³w and WrocΕaw. Serve them with a distinct English section, connected through our hreflang tag generator, so Polish pages keep their focus. Our wider SEO services include this per-language mapping.
Marketplaces: Allegro, Ceneo and the classifieds layer
Allegro is the default shopping destination for many Polish consumers, and buyers frequently check it before or instead of brand sites. Ceneo adds price comparison, and OLX carries classifieds from used goods to jobs and services. For a retailer the practical question is not whether to sell on marketplaces, but how to make the own store worth visiting: unique content, clear delivery and returns information, and categories that rank for long-tail queries. That is the core of our e-commerce SEO work. In practice, we often find that the own store wins on informational and comparison queries, while Allegro captures the final price-led click, so content and listings should be planned as one funnel rather than two rival projects.
For services, Google remains the main route, with map results deciding many local choices. A well-kept profile, consistent contact data and Polish-language service pages per city form the local SEO baseline. Paid search in Poland often delivers lower competition on niche Polish terms than on English ones; well-structured Google Ads accounts exploit that gap.
Compliance view: EU rules applied in Poland
Poland applies the GDPR, supervised by the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO). Any lead form, CRM import or ad audience built on personal data must rest on a lawful basis explained in plain privacy wording, and anyone may refuse direct marketing at any time without giving a reason. The EU ePrivacy rules require prior consent for non-essential cookies and for most electronic marketing to individuals; Polish national law transposes them, and we ask clients to confirm the domestic details with their adviser.
Two EU-wide rules shape campaigns. Since 28 May 2022 the Omnibus amendments to consumer law ban fake or paid-for customer opinions and require traders to say how they verify the feedback they display; the Commission's consumer protection sweeps enforce this. From 28 June 2025 onwards, the European Accessibility Act has applied to many e-commerce services, so shop templates should meet WCAG 2.1 AA. This is general orientation, not legal advice.
Working with a digital marketing agency Poland teams reach in the morning
Our desks are staffed Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm PKT. Poland observes CET (UTC+1) in winter and CEST (UTC+2) in summer, while Pakistan stays on UTC+5. So the overlap is four hours offset in winter (5am to 2pm in Warsaw) and three hours in summer (6am to 3pm). Most calls happen in the Polish morning; late-afternoon meetings are booked as appointments, and the inbox [email protected] is read and answered within those hours.
Week one sets baselines in Search Console and analytics and checks that the consent banner truly blocks tags. From month two, a written report compares Polish keyword visibility, enquiries or orders, spend and pending approvals. Polish copy goes live only after your native reviewer approves it.
The engagement has no minimum term. It renews monthly, a 30-day notice period ends it, and payment is by bank transfer. For background on pace, see how long SEO takes.
Public support bodies and the Warsaw guide
The Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) runs development programmes for small firms, and Biznes.gov.pl is the government's single point of information for running a business. Foreign investors and exporters can contact the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).
Within this hub, the Warsaw guide looks at the capital's services and headquarters economy. If you are deciding between marketplaces, your own store or both, book the free SEO audit and we will set out the trade-offs for your category.
