Prague is two markets sharing one skyline. A digital marketing agency Prague businesses hire has to reach Czech-speaking residents who search in their own language and an international crowd of visitors, students and company staff who often search in English. Treating the city as one audience usually wastes budget on the wrong half.
Our people work from Pakistan and we keep no Prague office, desk or employees. We work in English, plan Czech-language SEO with a native reviewer you approve, and keep the capital's morning hours fully covered.
Sizing the capital with official numbers
The Czech Statistical Office reports a population of 1,409,528 for the capital city of Prague (Hlavní město Praha) at 30 June 2026. That makes Prague by far the largest consumer market in the country and the place where most national head offices, agencies and international employers cluster.
For marketers the useful reading is density: a large, well-connected population within one city boundary means local campaigns can be targeted tightly by district and still reach meaningful volume. National brands often test messages in Prague before rolling them out to Brno or Ostrava, because results come back faster and the audience mix is wide enough to show which angle works with which group.
Density also means competition. Most Czech agencies, consultancies and shops chasing the same customers are here too, so generic pages rarely rank. Specific pages that answer one district, one service or one audience tend to do better than broad copy.

Czech and English searches in the same city
Residents mostly search in Czech, with diacritics, inflected endings and district names such as Vinohrady, Karlín, Smíchov or Holešovice. Visitors and many international employees search in English, often with phrases that never appear in Czech keyword tools. A single keyword list cannot serve both groups.
We usually build two clusters: Czech pages aimed at residents and local businesses, and an English section, linked with hreflang, for tourism, hospitality, relocation and B2B services sold to international firms. Each cluster gets its own titles, its own internal links and its own conversion tracking, so you can see which language actually brings paying customers.
Our SEO services handle that architecture, and the hreflang generator produces the markup without errors.
Where demand comes from: visitors, offices and start-ups
Hospitality, restaurants and experience providers depend on the map pack, so a Google Business Profile with every field filled in, current opening times and real photos is the starting point of local SEO for them. Karlín and the business districts host shared-service centres and tech employers, which makes LinkedIn useful for recruitment marketing and B2B lead generation.
For high-intent searches, such as an accountant, a dentist or an IT supplier, Google Ads with radius and language targeting lets you split Czech and English audiences and see which pays back. We judge each channel by enquiries and booked work, not clicks, and we cut spend quickly where a district or language shows no return.
Start-ups and software firms selling abroad are a separate case: their Prague address matters less than their English content, so we treat them as international SEO projects with a Czech home base. Their content plan follows target export markets, while Prague pages mainly support hiring and local trust.
Consent and customer feedback: what Prague campaigns must respect
Because Prague attracts many EU visitors, privacy discipline is not optional. The GDPR requires a lawful basis for every use of personal data, and the ePrivacy rules mean non-essential cookies wait for consent before they load. The Czech Office for Personal Data Protection is the authority that receives complaints.
EU consumer law also bans invented customer opinions and claims that feedback was checked when it was not. For hotels and restaurants that live on guest feedback, we build honest follow-up requests into the booking journey instead of shortcuts. This is general orientation for planning; take specific questions to a qualified Czech lawyer.
Working with a remote digital marketing agency Prague teams can reach
We work Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm PKT. Prague keeps Central European time, an hour ahead of UTC in winter and two hours ahead in summer, so our day covers about 5am to 2pm or 6am to 3pm Prague time. Morning calls are easy to schedule, afternoon meetings are set up ahead, and messages to the support inbox are answered before our day ends.
You receive a monthly English report with rankings for both language clusters, enquiries, ad spend and the next decisions. There is no lock-in: terms renew monthly with 30 days' notice, and payment is by bank transfer. Our SEO audit walkthrough shows what the first review covers.
