Czech buyers compare carefully before they pay. Anyone hiring a digital marketing agency Czech Republic companies can rely on needs to plan for two search engines, a strong habit of price comparison, and consent rules that the national data protection office actually enforces. A plan copied from Germany or Poland usually misses at least one of those three.
This guide explains how we would approach the Czech market from a distance. Our people sit in Pakistan; there is no Czech office, employee or postal address. We work in English, we plan Czech-language SEO and campaigns, and the final Czech wording comes from a native writer you approve.
A market made mostly of very small firms
Eurostat's structural business statistics for 2024 count 1,366,927 enterprises in the Czech Republic's business economy. Of these, 1,321,054 (96.6% of all enterprises) are micro-enterprises with 0-9 persons employed, and only 1,720 enterprises have 250 or more persons employed (Eurostat table).
That shape matters for planning. The micro share is very high, so many Czech prospects are owner-managed firms that judge marketing by enquiries, not by impressions. They want short reports, a clear monthly figure for leads, and a plain explanation of what changed. On the other side, the large-company tier is small enough to list by name, which suits account-based LinkedIn work for B2B sellers who need to reach procurement, IT or HR managers inside a known set of employers.
Budgets, reporting depth and contract length should therefore be set for whichever of those two groups you are really selling to, rather than for an imaginary average Czech client.

Two search engines to plan for: Seznam and Google
Google carries most Czech search, but Seznam, the home-grown portal and search engine, still has a loyal audience, particularly among older and less technical users and for news and local look-ups. Ignoring it can leave a visible gap in a category where those users decide.
In practice we keep one technically clean site and check how it appears in both engines: titles, structured data, page speed and internal links help everywhere. Keyword research is done from Czech-language results, because diacritics and inflected word endings change what people type; a list built without hΓ‘Δky and ΔΓ‘rky will miss real phrasing, and so will one that ignores the seven grammatical cases that reshape nouns in queries.
Our SEO services cover this research and the site architecture, and the keyword density checker helps keep Czech copy natural rather than stuffed with one exact form of a phrase.
Comparison shopping and marketplaces shape the click
Czech e-commerce leans heavily on comparison. Shoppers routinely check Heureka for prices and shop scores, and large retailers such as Alza set expectations on delivery speed, pick-up boxes and returns. For a smaller shop, a clean product feed, honest stock data and quick dispatch information often matter as much as the ad itself.
That is why paid search here is planned together with feeds. Google Ads Shopping campaigns need accurate titles and attributes in Czech, and the same data should power any comparison listings you run. Delivery options deserve their own attention: parcel lockers and collection points are part of how Czech shoppers choose a shop, so they belong in product pages and ad extensions, not hidden at checkout.
For service businesses, a fully filled-in Google Business Profile using Czech place names supports local SEO in Prague, Brno and Ostrava alike.
Consent, cookies and the Czech regulator
The EU rules apply in full. Under the GDPR, every use of personal data needs a lawful basis and a clear privacy notice, and a person who says no to direct marketing must be taken off the list without argument. The ePrivacy Directive adds that cookies and similar storage need prior consent unless they are strictly necessary for the service the user asked for, and that marketing email to individuals generally needs prior agreement, with a tightly limited exception for people who already bought from you.
Complaints in the Czech Republic go to the Office for Personal Data Protection (ΓOOΓ). In practical terms: tags should stay blocked until the banner records a choice, every contact list should show how each person agreed, and any customer quote used in an ad must come from a real, verified buyer. Treat this section as a starting point and have a Czech lawyer review anything you plan to rely on.
How our digital marketing agency Czech Republic work runs day to day
Working days are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm PKT, which is five hours ahead of UTC all year. Czech clocks sit one hour ahead of UTC in the cold months and two hours ahead after the spring change, so our working day equals roughly 5am to 2pm in Prague during the cold months and 6am to 3pm once clocks go forward. Mornings are shared in full; later calls go in the diary in advance, and written questions to [email protected] get an answer within the same business day.
Reports arrive monthly and are written in English: Czech keyword rankings, organic and paid enquiries, spend, consent rates and the decisions waiting on you. Czech copy is planned by us and approved by your native reviewer before anything goes live. Terms run month to month with 30 days' notice, and invoices are settled by bank transfer.
Official support and our Czech city guide
CzechInvest, the government business and investment agency, supports start-ups and growing firms with advice, programmes and links to EU funding calls. Company and trade details can also be checked in the public commercial register before you sign with a new supplier or partner.
Inside this hub you will also find our Prague guide for the capital's mix of tech, tourism and regional headquarters. Neighbouring markets are covered in the Germany guide and the Austria guide. To see where your site stands today, ask for a free SEO audit.
