Faisalabad is Pakistan's third-largest city, and the census makes the scale concrete. PBS recorded 3.69 million people in the city and 9,075,819 in the district in 2023, with an urban share of 48.40%. Read simply, the district is split almost evenly between town and countryside. A digital marketing agency Faisalabad businesses choose has to plan for both halves, and for the textile buyers abroad who never visit at all.
Arb Digital is Pakistan-based and serves Faisalabad companies remotely; we have no office in the city. Our team keeps PKT weekday hours, matching yours. Below: the numbers explained, the channels that suit each part of the textile chain, how shoppers search, and the PECA points to watch.
What do 9,075,819 residents and a 48.40% urban share mean?
Each Census 2023 figure points to a decision:
| Figure | Plain reading | Decision it informs |
|---|---|---|
| 3.69 million in the city | A metro-sized consumer market of its own | Run city-targeted search and social campaigns, not just Lahore-wide ones |
| 9,075,819 in the district | About two and a half times the city figure | Plan delivery and dealer coverage for Jaranwala, Samundri, Tandlianwala and Chak Jhumra |
| 48.40% urban | Roughly half town, half village | Use mobile-first pages and WhatsApp ordering for rural buyers |
| 6.5 people per household | Large family purchases | Show value packs, family sizes and home-textile sets |
Punjab's 4,364,293 establishments in the Economic Census 2023, employing 13,645,277 people, include thousands of Faisalabad power-loom units, stitching units and traders. Most are small. That is good news: in many textile niches, a professionally built online presence is still rare enough to stand out.

Which channels fit each link in the textile chain?
The city's economy grew from power looms into spinning, weaving, processing, home textiles and garments, with newer industrial estates such as M-3 Industrial Estate and Allama Iqbal Industrial City developed by FIEDMC along the M-3 motorway. Marketing differs along the chain:
- Mills and exporters of yarn, fabric and home textiles. Buyers are sourcing managers abroad searching for "bed linen manufacturer Pakistan" or "towel supplier". English product pages, compliance information and SEO for B2B terms bring qualified enquiries; LinkedIn supports them.
- Fabric wholesalers and the Kapra market trade. Retailers across Pakistan order through WhatsApp and Facebook. Catalogue broadcasts to opted-in buyers and a clear Google Business Profile are the workhorses.
- Lawn, unstitched and ready-to-wear labels. Instagram, TikTok and Facebook ads drive the season launches; social media marketing plus a fast online store with e-commerce SEO converts the attention.
- Education, health and services. With the University of Agriculture and many colleges, admissions and clinics compete on local search.
How do Faisalabad shoppers search before they buy?
Retail buyers often start on Instagram or Facebook, ask the price by DM or WhatsApp, and then choose between cash on delivery and a visit to the shops around the Clock Tower and its eight bazaars. Searches are short and bilingual: "lawn suits Faisalabad", "bedsheet wholesale", or a brand name in Roman Urdu.
For B2B buyers, the journey is longer: a search, a look at your website, an email asking for samples, then a call. If your website loads slowly or lists no minimum order quantity, they move to the next supplier. We fix those points first, then build traffic. Sample requests, price-list downloads and WhatsApp clicks are each tracked as separate goals, so you can see which buyers are serious and which are only browsing. Planning calls can be in Urdu.
Which PECA points should a digital marketing agency Faisalabad clients trust explain?
PECA 2016, amended by Act II of 2025, governs electronic offences; read it on the Pakistan Code. This is general guidance only:
- s.25 (spamming). Fabric traders love broadcast lists, but unsolicited marketing without permission is an offence and direct marketers must give recipients an unsubscribe option. Build lists from customers who opted in.
- s.16 (identity information). Acquiring or using CNIC numbers, phone numbers or other personal details without authorisation is an offence, so do not trade customer data with other shops.
- s.26A (fake information). Posting what you know is false, where it could create fear or unrest, became punishable in 2025.
Pakistan's Personal Data Protection Bill is not yet law. We still treat customer data carefully, because PECA already applies.
How do we run Faisalabad accounts remotely?
Nobody from Arb Digital sits in Faisalabad, and we do not need to: your sites, stores and ad accounts are all online. Because we share your time zone, a launch can be approved at 11am and live after lunch. The rhythm is simple: an audit and plan, foundation fixes, monthly campaigns, and a short report linking spend to enquiries and orders. Seasonal clothing launches get a timeline agreed weeks ahead.
Billing is monthly by bank transfer, and you can leave on thirty days' notice. For background reading, see our ecommerce marketing guide.
Where do Faisalabad firms find free support?
The Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry represents the city's industry and traders and runs trade-promotion activity. The PITB publishes Punjab's digital programmes, and Tech Destination by PSEB lists Pakistani software firms. Our census figures come from the PBS district table.
All our city guides are listed on the Pakistan hub.
