Sialkot's numbers look modest until you see who its customers are. PBS put Sialkot district at 4,499,394 people in Census 2023, only 32.94% of them urban, and the city ranked 12th in Pakistan by size. Yet the footballs, surgical instruments and leather gloves made here are sold mostly to buyers abroad. That is the first thing a digital marketing agency Sialkot exporters hire must understand: your real market is often in Europe, North America or the Gulf, not in the district.
Arb Digital is a Pakistan-based company. We serve Sialkot firms remotely from our team in Pakistan, without a Sialkot office, and we work your PKT business hours. This guide reads the figures plainly, then covers export search, local buyers, PECA and the tax point exporters ask about.
What do the census figures tell a Sialkot exporter?
The PBS Census 2023 district table gives four useful signals:
- 4,499,394 residents. A large labour pool and a sizeable home market for retail and services, even though export firms look outward.
- 32.94% urban. Much of the manufacturing happens in small units across villages and towns such as Sambrial, Daska and Pasrur. Many of those units sell through bigger exporters; going direct online is how they keep more of the margin.
- 6.7 people per household. Family-run firms are the norm, and decisions about marketing are often made by owners who want clear reporting, not jargon.
- 2.44% annual growth, 2017 to 2023. A steadily growing district, with a younger workforce that is comfortable online.
Across Punjab, the Economic Census 2023 recorded 4,364,293 establishments with 13,645,277 workers. Sialkot's share of that is unusually export-heavy, which is why its marketing looks more like an international B2B playbook than a local shop campaign.

How should a digital marketing agency Sialkot exporters use reach foreign buyers?
Sialkot built its own airport and dry port through business-community effort, and its online presence deserves the same ambition. Each export sector needs a slightly different approach:
- Sports goods and sportswear. Importers, clubs and private-label brands search for terms such as "custom football manufacturer" or "team kit supplier". Category pages by product, minimum order quantities and customisation options, supported by SEO in English, attract these enquiries.
- Surgical and dental instruments. Buyers are distributors and procurement teams who care about materials, finishing, sterilisation and compliance documents. Detailed specification pages and downloadable catalogues build trust before the first email.
- Leather goods and gloves. Fashion and safety buyers want photography, material details and sampling terms. LinkedIn outreach and targeted search ads in chosen countries complement organic traffic.
AI assistants now answer many supplier questions, so we also work on generative engine optimisation to help your firm be described accurately when buyers ask them for manufacturers.
Do Sialkot's local customers search differently?
Yes. For shops, schools, clinics and restaurants in the city, the pattern is the familiar Pakistani one: Facebook and Instagram for discovery, WhatsApp for questions, Google Maps for directions, and Roman Urdu mixed with English in the search box. A wedding caterer or a car showroom in Cantt needs a strong local SEO setup and quick replies far more than a global strategy.
Exporters also benefit from local visibility, because job seekers, suppliers and visiting buyers search the company name. A complete Google Business Profile with factory photos makes a professional first impression. We can hold planning conversations in Urdu and write the public pages in English for international readers.
Which PECA rules matter for export and local campaigns?
Pakistan's electronic crimes law, PECA 2016, amended by Act II of 2025, is published on the Pakistan Code. Your overseas buyers' own laws also apply to marketing aimed at them. In summary, and not as legal advice:
- s.25: promotional messages sent without the recipient's agreement count as spamming, and direct marketing has to include a way to opt out. Cold email blasts to scraped importer lists carry this risk.
- s.16: getting hold of, selling or using a person's identity information without authorisation is an offence, so we never buy contact databases.
- s.26A: knowingly false content likely to cause panic or disorder became an offence in 2025.
A national data protection law is still only a bill. We use consent-based lists and honest claims about certifications.
What about tax on IT and IT-enabled exports?
Some Sialkot firms now sell software, design or other IT-enabled services abroad alongside physical goods. Under the Income Tax Ordinance 2001, as published by FBR, exporters of computer software, IT services or IT-enabled services who are registered with PSEB pay 0.25% of export proceeds for tax years 2024 to 2029, and 1% applies in other cases. The deduction becomes a final tax only when the filing conditions are met.
Digital marketing is not named in the legal definition of IT-enabled services, so whether a particular service qualifies is a question to check with a tax adviser. This is general information, not tax advice.
How do we work with Sialkot firms from elsewhere in Pakistan?
We keep weekday PKT hours, which suits Sialkot exporters who start early to catch European mornings. A typical engagement covers an audit, a fixed plan for the first quarter, site and catalogue fixes, then monthly campaigns with clear reporting on enquiries by country. Product photography is done by your team or photographer using our brief. Engagements renew monthly, end on thirty days' notice and are paid by bank transfer.
Free help is also available: the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry supports exporters with trade information and delegations, while PSEB runs the Tech Destination directory of software houses. Figures above come from the PBS Punjab district table. Other cities are on our Pakistan hub.
